Atos delivers first Quantum Learning Machine in Spain to CESGA
Santiago de Compostela (Galicia, Spain), Paris (France) September 28, 2021
Atos these days announces that it has sent its Atos Quantum Discovering Equipment (QLM), theworld’s greatest-accomplishing commercially offered quantum simulator, to the Galician Supercomputing Heart (CESGA). This is the first quantum simulator to be set up in Spain, positioning CESGA as a pioneer in quantum simulation.
The Atos Quantum Discovering Equipment (QLM) which is now operational, will help CESGA experts, developers, and buyers to produce, improve and take a look at quantum apps and models. It will be utilized for European study assignments that CESGA is presently working on, in collaboration with college and marketplace scientists, in the spots of science and technology this sort of as nanotechnology, new materials and industrial processes, health and fitness and lifetime sciences and ocean sciences. Atos will also supply a coaching system and proceed to enrich the method during its life span to make certain that it delivers the operation necessary.
This delivery and set up of the Atos Quantum Discovering Equipment QLM-thirty simulator, which will let the enhancement, optimization and testing of quantum apps, is framed inside of Atos’ earlier contract for the source and set up of the normal purpose scientific and specialized supercomputing and info storage remedy Finisterrae III.
Agnès Boudot, Senior Vice President, Head of HPC & Quantum at Atos, mentioned “We’re honored to be giving the first quantum simulator in Spain and seem forward to supporting CESGA and the Spanish science and study community to produce and experiment with quantum software program to be prepared for the approaching era of quantum computing.”
Ready for the Quantum Age
Combining an ultra-compact, large-driven equipment with a universal programming language, the Atos Quantum Discovering Equipment enables scientists and engineers to produce and experiment with quantum software program. It is the world’s only quantum software program enhancement and
simulation equipment for the coming quantum computer system era. The Atos QLM simulates the behavior of a quantum computer system, which suggests that quantum algorithms can be produced devoid of the will need for quantum components. The method paves the way for optimizing electronic quantum simulation in the first intermediate-scale quantum computers to be promoted in the coming decades (referred to as NISQ – Noisy Intermediate-Scale Quantum).
Atos QLM Group
Since its start, the Atos QLM consumer community has not stopped expanding. The platform is currently being utilized in a lot of nations around the world throughout the world together with Austria, Brazil, Finland, France, Germany, India, Italy, Japan, the Netherlands, Senegal, Uk and the United States, empowering important study applications in numerous sectors like marketplace or energy.
Atos’ ambitious system to foresee the foreseeable future of quantum computing – the ‘Atos Quantum’ system – was launched in November 2016. As a result of this initiative, Atos was the first corporation to supply a quantum noise simulation module inside of the Atos QLM and the first universal quantum metrics reference “Q-score”, which is relevant to all programmable quantum processors.
