Uber expands prescription delivery with ScriptDrop

Uber is growing prescription delivery across 37 states in the United States with ScriptDrop. 

There are strategies for further growth in the coming weeks and months. 

Pharmacies that are signed up with ScriptDrop include things like grocery chains, pharmacy chains and health and fitness devices. Uber, built-in by way of API, will grow to be the default software for the pick pharmacies, depending on place and driver availability. ScriptDrop integrates with a pharmacy’s present application and workflow.

Uber and ScriptDrop’s partnership also provides added earnings for delivery individuals applying the Uber system.

WHY THIS Matters

Prescription delivery, a developing small business underneath the pandemic, is expanding further than the public health and fitness emergency.

CVS Health and Walgreens have invested in their prescription residence-delivery small business. Amazon grew the small business three decades ago with its acquisition of on the web pharmacy PillPack. 

Uber stated delivery aids steer clear of prescription abandonment. Prices of prescription orders that are not picked up skyrocketed throughout the pandemic. This prompted pharmacist Leslie Asanga to located Pills2Me in Connecticut, according to the Las Vegas Overview-Journal. Most of the never-picked-up prescriptions were for seniors and all those at a higher threat of obtaining health issues from COVID-19, the report stated.
